Come create a holiday ornament, and discover the joy of needle felting!

This is an introductory class. Participants will learn basic needle felting techniques, and choose from a variety of projects. Each participant will leave this workshop with the personal tools and supplies necessary to continue their new obsession!!!

Art Center is excited to provide our youngest artists and entrepreneurs an opportunity to be a vendor and sell their original creations to the public. Each child has a station to display his/her artwork and keeps 100% of their profits! The cost to participate is $20, and open to children up to the age of 19. The event will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on December 14, 2024. Every vendor will receive an Art Center t-shirt!

Join us for our 4th annual Boozy Advent Calendar Workshop. You will be creating a 12 Day Advent Calendar with small booze bottles. You will decorate and design paper tubes to transform them into an amazing festive work of art that you can put up on your mantle for the upcoming holiday season!

Children enjoy receiving gifts, but they are also avid givers. This workshop is literally the total package! We will make an adorable ornaments to gift, along with the wrapping paper!

We will design delightful gift wrapping paper, using fun printmaking techniques, and make adorable hand-crafted Christmas ornaments to wrap up inside. This is a fun opportunity for young DIY gift-makers!

Art Center invites you to our Halloween-themed open house! Bring the whole family, any time between 12-2pm on Saturday, October 12, enjoy free crafts and light refreshments. Artwork by Sara Heslop will be on display in our gallery.

You will have the opportunity to meet Center teachers and learn about our programs, while enjoying free Halloween fun! Costumes are welcome, but not necessary. We hope to see you there!

Sara Heslop grew up in love with animals and the forest, chasing feral kittens, feeding baby birds, catching snakes and frogs. She has dedicated her life to caring for animals.  Now Sara spends her time away from working as a vet and mom, capturing the natural world in paint and printmaking. Her work is a testament to the idea that the whole world is full of beauty and wonder. By capturing the delights of the natural world, in an elegant, yet whimsical style, Sara hopes to share her delightful perspective with you.

Collage is a form of art that involves combining different materials to create a new image or design.
